Mumbai: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that high tides will be anticipated heavy rainfall later today. Light rain has already impacted several neighbourhoods, with forecasts indicating that the rain will persist. This week, temperatures are expected to vary from 23°C to 32°C, with overcast conditions and significant precipitation.

On May 28, the IMD cautioned about cloudy weather and possible intense rainfall. As of now, temperatures have climbed to 28°C, with humidity at 82% and winds blowing at 13 km/h. The chance of rain was 82% by 9 AM. Important temperatures are predicted to range from 23°C to 31°C. Tomorrow, overcast weather and moderate rainfall are anticipated.

Mumbai Faces Heavy Rainfall

Days after heavy rains hit Mumbai, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that the city may experience moderate to heavy rains today according to recent reports. There may be thunderstorms and gusty winds in some areas. The minimum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius, with a maximum of 31 degrees Celsius.

From May 27 to June 2, light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms is anticipated over Konkan, Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely in these regions until June 2, with potential extremely heavy rainfall in the Konkan and ghat areas on May 27. Mumbai recently recorded its highest one-day rainfall in May since 2021, with Colaba surpassing a 117-year-old record.

Mumbai Air Quality Index Today

As per the Air Quality Index (AQI) report from the Sameer App by the Central Pollution Control Bureau (CPCB), today's AQI readings are at 62, categorized as 'Satisfactory' levels. A steep drop was observed in the AQI Levels.
