Operation Sindoor: Civil Defence Mock Drills To Be Conducted Tomorrow In Several States Bordering Pakistan, Claim Reports

New Delhi: In the wake of heightened national security concerns, civil defence mock drills are set to be conducted on Thursday evening (May 29) across four states bordering Pakistan: Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.

The drills come just weeks after India launched a precise retaliatory strike on nine terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 lives.

In earlier mock drills conducted across various states, Anti-Terror Squads and specialised commandos, equipped with cutting-edge weaponry, recreated real-life terror attack scenarios to test response capabilities.

Some of these mock session exercises involved neutralising infiltrators, managing civilian evacuations, and responding to multiple attack points simultaneously.

In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, security agencies nationwide have remained on high alert, intensifying preventive measures.

According to a News18 report, officials have indicated that similar exercises will be held at other key locations to ensure swift, coordinated, and effective responses in the event of an actual threat.

Meanwhile, seven multi-party delegations from India are visiting major world capitals to challenge global misinformation and reinforce India’s firm stance against terrorism.

These visits aim to deliver a unified national message and promote India’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.
