Bihar STF Vehicle Overturns In MP's Ratlam; Two Jawans Killed, Four Injured
Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic road car-crash claimed 2 STF Jawan's life on Delhi-Mumbai 8 lane expressway in Ratlam early on Wednesday. Four police personnel sustained injuries.
The team was reportedly traveling from Gaya, Bihar, to Gandhidham, Gujarat, to apprehend a criminal when their Scorpio vehicle overturned near Ratlam. First, four STF personnel sustained injuries in the accident. One critically injured constable was immediately referred to Indore for advanced medical care.
According to the information, 2018 batch sub-inspector Mukund Murari, lost his life in the accident. A resident of Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, became a constable in Patna District Force in 2015. Currently posted in Patna STF. The second deceased personnel’s identity is yet to be officially confirmed.
Eye witness Constable Ranjan Kumar recalled the abruptness of the accident. He said "I was sleeping in the back, didn't know how the car overturned. When the car stopped, I got out and saw that the accident had happened".
Kumar further added "We were sleeping in the back trunk and Saheb was driving the car, when we got out of the car, we saw 3 men lying outside. Three were dead and three were in the car."
Bihar ADG Headquarters and Operations Kundan Krishnan said confirmed the death of 2 STF Jawans in the accident in MP's Ratlam . A team is being sent from Bihar to Ratlam to bring back the bodies of the deceased jawans and ensure proper treatment for the injured.”
