‘HIT: The Third Case’ OTT release: When and where to watch the Nani-led action thriller

Nani-starrer HIT: The Third Case hit theatres earlier this month and there’s good news for those who missed out on the big screen release. Streaming platform Netflix announced last week that the Sailesh Kolanu directorial will be available for viewing from May 29.
“He’s Arjun for the loved ones and Sarkaar for the criminals,” the poster was captioned. In addition to the original Telugu, the film will also be accessible in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Fans were ecstatic about the OTT release, with one user writing, “Already saw the movie in theatre on the first day but still will see again,” while another commented, “Finallyyyy the wait is over”.
HIT: The Third Case is the third instalment of the HIT franchise, this time headlined by Nani. The plot follows SP Arjun Sarkaar, newly stationed at HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) in Visakhapatnam. After Arjun secretly murders two civilians, he draws suspicion from his colleague ASP Varsha, but little does she know that his motives lie deeper.

The film, much like its predecessor, was announced during the end-credits scene for HIT: The Second Case, introducing the new SP to the audience.
HIT: The Third Case received mixed reviews. While many praised Nani’s performance, it was criticised for its lack of a solid narrative. Despite this, the film had an impressive box office performance, surpassing the collective gross collection of the two previous instalments. Bankrolled by Wall Poster Cinema and Nani’s Unanimous Productions, the film managed to garner Rs 120 crore against a reported budget of Rs 65 crore.
The next instalment of the franchise was announced in the film’s post-credits scene, with Karthi taking on the lead role in HIT: The Fourth Case.
