Eight temples in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex will undergo 'pran pratishtha' simultaneously in a three-day ceremony that begins on June 3, Tuesday.

The general secretary of the temple trust said in Ayodhya on Wedneday that the ceremony will be preceded by a 'Jal Kalash Yatra' in which water from the Sarayu river will be taken to the complex.

As per the lunar calendar, the event will start on the eighth day of the waxing moon phase (asthami) in the month of Jyestha. Rituals on all three days will start at 6.30 am. Uniformity in method and time of worship will be achieved by connecting all temples through screens and cameras.

The 'pran pratishtha' will include that of a Shivling in the northeast corner, Ganesh in the southeast corne,  Hanuman in the middle of the southern side, the Sun in the southwest corner, Goddess Bhagwati in the northwest corner, and Goddess Annapurna in the middle of the northern end of the rampart. Along with this, there will be 'pran pratishtha' of the Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor of the main temple and Sheshavatar (Vishnu) statue in the south-western corner of the rampart.

Rai said that scholars from Kashi will be present along with local priests to conduct the rituals. Priests from other religious cities will also be present.

Though the 'pran pratishtha' will be done, there is yet no decision on when the temples will be thrown open for darshan. For now, a limited number of people will be allowed to visit the Shri Ram Darbar located on the first floor. Rai said that a detailed plan was still being worked out.

There have been repeated delays in the installation of the Ram durbar- where the Lord resides in his kingly form. It was earlier to be done by April 30, but the statues which have been carved in Jaipur were not ready.
