Zamaana Lage X Review: Metro...In Dino Song Gets Thumbs Up Online, But Netizens Still Miss KK

After several delays and setbacks, Metro...In Dino, the spiritual sequel to Life In A Metro, is finally set to release in July. The first song from the film, titled Zamaana Lage, was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday, and while Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh are being lauded for the track, late singer KK's absence is unmissable.

Zamaana Lage gives a glimpse into the turmoil in the lives of the four couples in the Metro...In Dino -- Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi and Konkona Sen Sharma, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher. While the song, which is being dubbed as a "modern ghazal", is a breathe of fresh air, it also retains Pritam's original magic from the album of Life In A Metro.

However, the one element that fans missed was the voice of KK, who had crooned the iconic songs of the 2007 film. "There’s something about Life in a… Metro that still lives in my heart — the music, the emotions, the stories, and of course KK’s unforgettable voice. It wasn’t just a film, it was a feeling. And now Metro… In Dino is coming, and I can already feel that same magic returning (sic)," a user commented under the video of Zamaana Lage.

"We've been deprived of good Bollywood music for so long that #ZamaanaLage feels like a breath of fresh air. Definitely gonna listen to it on loop (sic)," another user wrote on X.

"I wish KK sir ka bhi koi pre-recorded song ho is soundtrack mein.. jaise Life In a Metro mein tha (sic)," a fan wrote.

The 2007 film, Life In A Metro, had some of the most popular tracks that rule playlists even today, and most of them were sung by KK, including Alvida, and O Meri Jaan.

Metro...In Dino is all set to release in theatres on July 4, 2025. The film features a slew of actors including Konkona, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, among others.
