Ensuring employment for all graduates my goal, says Sirsa university’s new VC
The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Sirsa’s Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Vijay Kumar, held a formal meeting with deans, directors and heads of departments at the university’s conference hall on Tuesday.
During the meeting, Kumar emphasised the importance of improving academic quality, creating job-oriented courses and organising strong placement drives.
He shared his goal to bring CDLU among the top universities in the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework), and to ensure that every student gets a job after graduation.
He said CDLU would play a key role in building a developed India, following the vision of National Education Policy, 2020.
Dean (Academic Affairs) Suresh Gehlawat welcomed the Vice-Chancellor and expressed his full support for the overall development of the university. Kumar announced that new courses would be designed to provide skill training to students and help achieve 100 per cent placements.
He urged faculty members to align their courses with national programmes such as Digital India Mission and Skill India.
He highlighted growing job opportunities in areas such as pharmacy, para-medical and tourism, and encouraged the creation of new and innovative programmes for these fields.
Kumar called on the university community to face challenges with a positive attitude, and to work together to make CDLU excellent in every way.
Registrar Ashok Kumar was among those present at the event. Dean (International Affairs) Rani shared data about foreign students, and many professors offered valuable suggestions for improving the university.
