‘Operation Sindoor’ installation unveiled at Dilli Haat

The Delhi Government on Wednesday inaugurated a grand installation dedicated to Operation Sindoor at Dilli Haat, INA, in honour of the Indian Army’s bravery and sacrifice. The initiative, launched by the Department of Tourism and the Office of the Minister for Art, Culture & Language, aims to foster patriotism and public awareness of India’s military operations against terrorism.

Delhi’s Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra inaugurated the installation, which was unveiled in the presence of dignitaries and visitors. The event began with a recorded message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who lauded the armed forces and reiterated the country’s firm stance on zero tolerance for terrorism.

Describing Dilli Haat as a cultural epicentre that attracts lakhs of visitors from India and abroad, Minister Mishra said the installation serves as a “tribute to the courage and sacrifice of the Indian Army.” He added that the exhibit aims to remind citizens and international tourists alike of the extraordinary bravery and heroism of the Indian soldiers.

A unique feature of the installation is a symbolic sindoor (vermillion), which visitors can apply as a tilak to express respect and solidarity with the armed forces. The exhibit also depicts the Indian Army’s cross-border action in destroying terrorist hideouts.

“This is the first time in world history that such a daring operation has been carried out on the airbase of a nuclear power,” said Mishra.

The installation will remain open to the public at Dilli Haat for the next 15 days, with plans underway to replicate it at other key locations across the city.
