RBC, SMVD Reasi win 3×3 UT Basketball titles

JAMMU, May 28: RBC and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Reasi emerged champions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively at the maiden 3×3 Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Basketball Championship, which concluded here today.
The event, organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association (JKBA), witnessed participation from several district-level teams. Udhampur finished as runners-up in the men’s section after an impressive run in the competition.
A shooting contest was also held on the sidelines of the championship. Vishal and Mahi Kour, both representing STC Jammu, were declared the best shooters and awarded a pair of basketball shoes each for their performance. JKBA President Dr. Vikram Handa and Senior Vice President Ashok Singh Jamwal presented trophies and prizes to the winners and runners-up teams.
JKBA General Secretary Aman Sharma announced six probables each in the men’s and women’s sections for a 10-day coaching camp ahead of the National 3×3 Championship, scheduled to be held in Kochi from June 12 to 14, 2025.
Sharma also lauded the contribution of coaches, referees, support staff and senior players, stating their collective efforts ensured the successful conduct of the championship.
