Six new medicine counters to be set up at Guru Nanak Dev Hospital in Amritsar

Guru Nanak Dev Hospital (GNDH) here is taking steps to improve patient care by setting up six new medicine counters to reduce waiting time. At present, the hospital has only two counters. Long queues of patients and their attendants can be seen at these two counters. The new counters would make it easier for patients to get their medication.

The development comes as part of the hospital’s efforts to enhance its services. Besides, the hospital has also started a Jan Aushadhi store to help patients get medicine at affordable price.

The hospital administration has been working to curb the practice of agents imploring patients on the hospital premises to buy medicines from their private medical stores. With these changes, the hospital aims to make healthcare more accessible and affordable for those in need.
