Royal Holkar Family To Lead Spiritual Tribute At Indore's Rajwada
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a heartfelt tribute to the legendary queen Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai Holkar on her 300th birth anniversary, the Royal Holkar Family, along with the Khasgi Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Charitable Trust and the Holkar Cultural Centre, will host a special spiritual programme at Rajwada on Friday.
In line with Devi Ahilyabai’s deep devotion to Lord Shiva, the main highlight of the ceremony will be the crafting of Parthiv Shivlings and their ceremonial Anushthan by 300 women in the courtyard of the historic Malhari Martand Temple at Rajwada.
The Royal Holkar Family and other distinguished guests will participate in the event. The programme will begin at 2:45 pm with Gadi Poojan and floral tributes at the statue of Devi Ahilyabai. From 3:30 pm, 300 women will begin crafting clay Shivlings, followed by Shivling Poojan and Aarti at 4:45 pm.
The evening segment will include the distribution of mementos, certificates, and Shivling immersion from 6:45 pm, culminating in a community dinner at 7 pm.
Speaking about the occasion, Yuvraj Yashwantrao Holkar said, “On this auspicious day, we invite the blessings of Lord Shiva for the revered memory of Punyashlok Devi Ahilyabai Holkar through the performance of Parthiv Shivling Pujan by 300 women. This is a symbol of women’s empowerment and a tribute to Ma Saheb’s legacy of devotion, simplicity, and service to society.”
