Breaking News: PM Modi embarks on whirlwind tour across four states; political heat rises ahead of Bengal visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi begins a high-speed two-day tour covering four states—Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. On day one, he will visit Sikkim, Bengal, and Bihar, and on day two, he will head to Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. In Sikkim, PM Modi is set to inaugurate development projects worth over ₹60 crore. In Bihar, he will lay the foundation for a major City Gas Distribution (CGD) project worth more than ₹1,010 crore. The project aims to supply PNG (Piped Natural Gas) to over 2.5 lakh households, over 100 industries, and establish 19 CNG stations. In West Bengal, PM Modi will address a public rally in Alipurduar. However, political tensions have already escalated. A TMC minister criticized the Prime Minister using harsh words, sparking a fresh war of words. The TMC’s social media handle also shared a cartoon showing a migratory bird wearing a BJP scarf with the caption, “If you’ve come, at least leave an answer behind.” The post questioned why the central government is allegedly withholding ₹1.70 lakh crore owed to Bengal. As Modi’s developmental announcements roll out, political barbs and regional tensions are intensifying, especially in poll-sensitive Bengal.
