Maa Trailer: Kajol Battles Dark Mythical Forces As A Relentless Mother In Gripping Horror Saga
New Delhi: Kajol stars as the titular character in the highly awaited horror flick 'Maa', and now fans can get a terrifying look at what is sure to be a nail-biting thriller. 'Maa', which was written by Saiwyn Quadras and directed by Vishal Furia, is from the same team that made Shaitaan (2024), which starred Kajol's husband Ajay Devgn.

A terrifying scene unfolds in the two-and-a-half-minute teaser as Kajol and her daughter are hurriedly making their way across a desolate environment when a lifeless corpse crashes into their car. Joining her daughter at a haunted old home, Kajol increases the tension by cautioning her not to stray out without her permission. But the girl's curiosity gets the best of her, and she follows the lead of another local to explore a deserted spot said to be haunted. "Beware of the rakshas," the girl cautions.
Kajol's character finds a cursed tree said to be home to demonic spirits as the narrative progresses. According to Ronit Roy's character, a number of females have vanished from the neighbourhood inexplicably in recent months.
With a promise of a mix of suspense, otherworldly horror, and emotional drama, 'Maa' delves into the age-old conflict between good and evil.
The makers shared the trailer of the film with the caption, "Rakshak. Bhakshak. MAA. The protector. The destroyer."

'Maa' is set to release in theatres on June 27 and will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali. The movie will be accessible on Netflix after its theatrical release. Saiwyn Quadras wrote the screenplay while Vishal Furia directed the movie. Shiv Malhotra, Rocky Khanna, and Harsh Upadhyay are the composers.
