That’s A World Record! US Man Secures Unusual Title After Balancing Chair On His Chin For 1 Hour, 20 Mins And 20 Seconds; Video Goes Viral

You may have playfully tried holding a chair above your head or even attempted to lift it with a single finger — just for fun. But little did you know, these lighthearted moments could actually land you a world record. Hard to believe? Maybe. But it’s true.

A US man, David Rush, placed a chair on his chin — not for seconds, but for nearly 90 minutes — to grab a notable title. The US-based author who impressively has more than 180 Guinness World Records, added another unusual title to his. Recently, he officially got the title for the longest time balancing a chair on the chin.

Visuals shared by GWR showed him using a brown, adult-sized Adams low-back patio chair for the challenge.

According to GWR, the chair weighed 4 lb 3.5 oz and stood about 31.5 inches tall.

More details

He performed the act last November. He arrived at the West Boise YMCA in Boise, Idaho, ready to take on the attempt after some initial practice.

He stood upright, eyes to the sky, carefully balancing the chair on his chin. The chair may have tilted a little here and there, but he couldn’t afford a fall. He stayed steady and focused.

David was jubilant, pumping his fists in the air while still keeping the chair balanced on his jaw.

He finished with a time of 1:20:30, securing the title. Reportedly, when he crossed his aim thirty seconds ago, he celebrated by pumping his fists.

Some of the other fun titles David holds include: Most T-shirts put on in 30 seconds (individual), Fastest time to stack 10 toilet paper rolls with one hand, and Fastest time to drink one litre of lime juice through a straw — which he did in just 13.99 seconds.
