Google Pixel is now available directly from the tech giant in India | Google India
On May 29, Mitul Shah, Managing Director of Devices and Services at Google India, announced the launch of a direct link between Google’s signature Pixel products and its Indian customer base.
“Starting today, people across India can buy their favourite Pixel products directly from the official online Google Store in India,” said Shah.
Known for its advanced AI features like Live Translate, Super Res Zoom, Magic Eraser, and more, Google is now set to offer this wide range of products to its Indian clientele.
The company, to date, has sold its Pixel products through various other physical and digital retail platforms, including Flipkart, Reliance Digital and more. This new development makes it easier for buyers to gain access to the latest innovations, compare models, and place orders.
The statement released by Google said that Pixel devices will now be available in more than 25 large format physical and digital retail platforms and is aimed at strengthening their “commitment to growing hands-on buying experiences.”
This includes partners such as Croma, Bajaj Electronics, Reliance, Poorvika, Sangeetha, Vijay Sales, and more.
The tech giant has also offered flexible financing options to its customers, such as no-cost EMI, instant cashback, exchange bonuses, and store credits. To facilitate this, Google has partnered with service providers like HDFC Bank and Cashify.
With the aim of making Pixel products more accessible, gadgets such as the Pixel 8 Pro are now available for ₹2,333.29 per month with no-cost EMI or through a one-time payment that saves ₹37,000, subject to conditions.
Google also ensured that they have expanded their ‘same day repair capabilities’ and are committed to considering customer support as a critical priority.
Google’s smartphone brand, launched by now Senior Vice President Rick Osterloh, started its operations in 2016. By August 12, 2024, the company started production in India, manufacturing its first-ever Pixel 8 with the tag ‘Made in India’. Google, however, has yet to propose a timeline for when its physical direct stores might open in India.
“From nationwide availability, to world-class after-sales support, to the new purchase experience on the Google Store in India, Pixel is here for you,” concluded Shah.
