Video: MP Sanskriti Bachao Manch Leader Appeals Muslims To Celebrate 'Eco-Friendly' Bakra-Eid Instead Of Sacrificing Goats

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): After, apparently, 300 goats were sacrificed in Madhya Pradesh's Vidisha, Sanskriti Bachao Manch leader Chandrashekhar Tiwari has appealed to the Muslim community to celebrate eco-friendly 'Bakra-Eid' and avoid killing goats.

He said that if festivals like Diwali, Holi, and Ganesh Chaturthi can be celebrated in an eco-friendly manner, then Eid can also be observed in the same spirit.

Tiwari further requested Hindu community members to stop selling goats to Muslims during Eid. According to him, this step will help reduce the killing of animals and also save important resources like water, food, and the environment.

He emphasised that saving the lives of goats during Eid would be a big contribution to nature and humanity.

This statement comes shortly after an event held in Vidisha on Wednesday, where around 300 goats were reportedly sacrificed as part of Eid celebrations. Sanskriti Bachao Manch strongly opposed this act and called it unnecessary and harmful.

The group believes that festivals should be about joy and compassion, not the killing of animals.

They are planning awareness campaigns to promote this message across the state.
