Sooraj Pancholi Reveals Actors Pay ₹30 Lakh To Appear On Popular Podcasts: 'I Also Received Such Offer'
Actor Sooraj Pancholi, who is currently busy with the promotions of his comeback Bollywood film Kesari Veer, has make a shocking revelation about podcasters. During one of his recent podcasts, Sooraj revealed that podcasters charge a huge amount of money from celebrities to feature them on their shows. The actor stated that he too received such offer, however, he declined.
During his interview with Hindi Rush, Sooraj jokingly said, "I have heard that there are a few actors who charge about Rs 30 lakh to do a podcast. Is this true? I am just wanting to know because I have come here for free. Pay me at least Rs 30,000."
However, the podcasters laughed over his demand and said that the tables have now turned and instead of the celebs, the podcasters demand money.
Sooraj makes shocking revelation
Reacting to this, Sooraj said, "Yes, I have heard that too, that the podcasters who have good viewership charge Rs 30 lakh to get you on their podcast. I have received such offer too. But it makes sense as they give you viewership. They have put immense hard work to grow their page so I think why not."
Sooraj recently made an acting comeback with the film, Kesari Veer, after a long hiatus. For those unversed, he was jailed in the Jiah Khan suicide case, and was kept in the same prison cell in Mumbai as that of terrorist Ajmal Kasab.
It was in April 2023 that the actor was acquitted by a CBI Special Court citing lack of evidence, 10 years after Jiah died by suicide in her Mumbai residence.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sooraj's latest film Kesari Veer failed to perform at the box office and it has reportedly managed to earn only Rs 1.5 crore in a week. The film also stars Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi.
The film is based on the legendary sacrifice of Veer Hamirji Gohil and other brave warriors who gave up their lives to protect the sacred Somnath temple from the oppressive Tughlaq rulers.
