Breaking News: Women Cadets Lead the Way — First Batch Passes Out from NDA Inspiring a New Era | ABP NEWS

In a historic moment for India's defence forces, the first batch of women cadets passed out from the National Defence Academy (NDA), marking a major milestone in the journey of gender inclusion within the armed forces. The passing out parade, held early in the morning at 6:40 AM, featured 1340 cadets in total, including 17 women who will now officially serve the nation in the defence services. This is the first batch of women cadets to graduate from the NDA since the Supreme Court’s landmark 2021 decision that allowed women to appear for the NDA examination. Among the young women cadets, many spoke about how they found inspiration in figures like Colonel Sophia and Vyomika Singh , who led critical missions during Operation Sindoor. Their courage served as a motivating force for the female cadets to persist through rigorous training. The NDA initiated the integration of women cadets in 2022, with over 120 women inducted. Now, after a year of intense preparation, these 17 cadets represent a significant shift in India's defence narrative. Of the total cadets passing out, 290 are joining the Army and 41 the Navy. This moment is a matter of immense pride for every Indian daughter aiming to serve the nation.
