'What The Hell, Gross': Euphoria Actress Sydney Sweeney SLAMMED For Selling Soaps Made From Her 'Actual' Bathwater

American actress Sydney Sweeney has sparked widespread attention following the announcement of her latest collaboration with Dr. Squatch, a brand known for its natural, handmade soaps. The actress revealed she will be releasing a limited-edition soap made from her 'actual' bathwater, infused with exfoliating sand and pine bark extract, and scented with a fragrance described as morning wood.

Priced at $8 (approximately Rs 684), the product will be officially launched on June 6. The announcement, however, has drawn mixed reactions online, with several social media users criticising the concept and calling it "gross." The actress shared the announcement on her Instagram handle on Thursday evening and wrote, "You kept asking about my bathwater after the @drsquatch ad… so we kept it."

Here's how netizens reacted:

One user commented, "We need to look at ourselves in the mirror." Another, in disbelief, said, "No way this is a real thing." A third user, taking a dig, added, "I'm waiting for the limited edition with piss and an occasional fart thrown in for good measure."

In an official statement, the 27-year-old actress said, "When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it, or turn it into a bar of Dr. Squatch soap," as per People.

She continued, "It’s weird in the best way, and I love that we created something that’s not just unforgettable, it actually smells incredible and delivers like every other Dr. Squatch product I love. Hopefully, this helps guys wake up to the realities of conventional personal care products and pushes them towards natural."

On the work front, Sydney will return as her popular character, Cassie in the third season of Euphoria.

Next, the actress has The Housemaid, based on the 2022 novel by Freida McFadden and Echo Valley.
