'I Visited Bihar Only After Keeping Promise Of Destroying Terrorist Camps': PM Modi

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday asserted that he visited Bihar again only after keeping his promise of punishing conspirators of Pahalgam terror attack beyond their imagination and destroying their camps as Pakistan and entire world also saw the power of ‘Sindoor’ (vermilion) in Operation Sindoor carried out against the neighbouring country.

Addressing a public meeting at Birkamganj in Rohtas district, Modi also invoked the legacy of Lord Ram and his ‘kul’ to drive home his point that new India was now following his principles of keeping promise at all costs as Ram also did not care for his life to honour his words.

During his last visit to Bihar, Modi had said in Madhubani on April 24 had said in English, “Today, from the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world, India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers,”

“I had promised to  the nation, and vowed from the land  of Bihar that hideouts of the masters of terrorists would be completely destroyed. I had said from the soil of Bihar that they would be punished beyond their imagination. Now, I am visiting Bihar only after keeping my promise.”

“Our armed forces have turned hideouts of those into ruins, who by sitting in Pakistan, wiped out sindoor from the foreheads of our sisters. What is the power of the sindoor of our daughters, Pakistan also saw and also the entire world saw,” he added.

“Terrorists who were considering themselves safe under the shelter of the Pakistani Army, our armed forces brought them to their knees in one stroke. Pakistan`s air base, military installations were destroyed in minutes. It is new India, it is the power of new India,” he  remarked.

Modi said that Bihar was a land of Veer Kuer Singh, as the state`s youths are spending their lives in the Army and Border security Force. He also remembered the supreme sacrifice made by BSF sub inspector Mohammed Itiyaz (a native of Bihar`s Chhapra), who was martyred in Jammu on May 10.

“I want to repeat once again, the enemy has seen our power in Operation Sindoor but they should understand that it is one of the several arrows in our quiver. Our fight against terrorism has neither halted nor stopped," he commented.

“Atankbad  ka fan agar phir se uthega, Bharat use bil se khinch kar kuchalne ke kaam karega (If the hood of terrorism will rise again, India will drag it out from the hole and will crush it,” he remarked.

Modi also launched and laid foundation stones of various projects worth nearly Rs 50,000 crore.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also spoke on the occasion and thanked PM for the Centre`s help for the state`s growth.
