'6 Terrorists Involved In Pahalgam Attack May Join BJP': Sanjay Raut Stokes MAJOR Controversy; Saffron Party Rebukes
Shiv Sena-UBT leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut on Friday launched a broadside at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the Pahalgam terror attack.
Speaking to the media in Mumbai, Raut questioned the delay in arresting the six terrorists involved in the 22 April Pahalgam terror attack, in which 26 civilians were killed.
"Maybe the terrorists have joined the BJP—that’s why they are not being caught. The six terrorists from Pahalgam are not being arrested, perhaps because one day you will receive a press release from the BJP office stating that those six people have joined the party. So, forget everything," Raut said.
BJP leader Ram Kadam hit back at Raut, stating, "This is an absolutely ridiculous statement, and it is an insult to our armed forces."
Speaking to a news channel, Kadam added, "Shiv Sena-UBT leaders like Uddhav Thackeray and Sanjay Raut have lost their minds, and they should be admitted to a mental hospital."
Shiv Sena's Sanjay Nirupam responded to Raut's remarks, saying that he makes such ludicrous statements every day, but the truth is that the UBT faction has been willing to join hands with the BJP for a long time, but the BJP is not giving them the green light. "Shiv Sena-UBT leaders are making such statements out of frustration," he added.
