Vaibhav Suryavanshi Touches PM Modi's Feet During Meeting At Patna Airport; Video

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is visiting Patna met cricket's young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family at Patna Airport. Following an outstanding IPL 2025 season, Suryavanshi was recently named in the India U-19 squad captaine dby Aayush Mhatre.

Modi shared the pictures with young IPL senstion on his X account with a message which said, "At Patna airport, met the young cricketing sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family. His cricketing skills are being admired all over the nation! My best wishes to him for his future endeavours."

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's impressive IPL 2025 journey

Suryavanshi was picked up in the IPL 2025 auction for ₹1.1 crore after impressing batting coach Vikram Rathour and director of high performance Zubin Bharucha at RR during trials. At just 14 years old, he was the youngest player ever picked in the history of the IPL auction. While many expected limited appearances from the teen sensation, the Rajasthan Royals had other plans.

He didn't play the first seven games of the season and only came into the team because of an injury to captain Sanju Samson, making him the youngest IPL debutant.

Backed by head coach Rahul Dravid and the team management, Suryavanshi was given a golden opportunity and he made the most of it. In just seven matches, the young batting prodigy scored 252 runs at an impressive average of 36 and an astonishing strike rate of 206.56.

His standout moment came when he smashed a stunning century against Gujarat Titans, turning heads across the cricketing fraternity.Beyond his IPL heroics, Suryavanshi has his eyes set on a bigger dream representing India at the senior level. Speaking about his goals, the youngster mentioned that he sees the upcoming U-19 tour as a crucial stepping stone and a possible audition for future international selection.

From being a surprise auction pick to emerging as one of the most exciting prospects in Indian cricket, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s journey is just getting started and the future looks incredibly bright.
