Bomb Threat To Haryana CM's Office
On Friday, another bomb threat was issued to government premises in the neighbouring Haryana. The Haryana Chief Minister's Office was threatened to be blown up, prompting the evacuation of the Punjab-Haryana Secretariat.
As a safety measure, security personnel from the CISF, Haryana Police, Chandigarh Police, along with the fire brigade, ambulances, and the bomb disposal squad, were deployed at the site. So far, nothing suspicious has been discovered.
A week ago, a bomb threat at the Punjab and Haryana premises caused widespread panic, forcing an evacuation and disrupting daily activities. The threat later turned out to be a hoax.
HC On Bomb Threats In Delhi Schools
Earlier this month, the Delhi High Court issued notices to the chief secretary and the police in the national capital over a plea on the regular bomb threats in schools. The plea alleged that the administration and the police had failed to introduce a mechanism to curb bomb threats to schools, resulting in the disruption of students' academic activities.
Delhi HC's Justice Anish Dayal termed the matter "serious" and said that the authorities must pay attention to the issue and immediately come up with a solution.
