Sydney Sweeney Launches Soap Bar Infused With Her 'Used' Bath Water

Sydney Sweeney is fulfilling what one can only think of as a fetish. Sweeney is now selling a soap that is made out her 'used' bath water. Shocking right? In a move that’s equal parts bizarre, bold, and brilliant marketing, Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney has launched a one-of-a-kind personal care product: a limited-edition bar of soap that includes her actual bathwater. The unconventional collaboration is with Dr. Squatch, a men’s grooming brand known for its natural ingredients and cheeky sense of humor.

From viral bathtubs to bottled bliss

This isn’t Sweeney’s first splash with Dr. Squatch. The actress previously starred in a popular ad campaign with the brand, lounging in a tub and promoting the benefits of natural soaps. That initial partnership clearly resonated, and now the team has taken things up several notches.

The new bar, dubbed Bathwater Bliss, incorporates some of the very water Sweeney soaked in during the campaign shoot. According to the star herself, it’s 100% authentic. “They had a tub for me during the shoot, and I took a real bath. They literally saved the water,” she told GQ.

Scents of home

Sweeney says the scent of the soap is deeply personal. Inspired by her rural roots in Washington State, the formula includes rugged, natural ingredients like exfoliating sand, pine bark extract, earthy moss, and fir. It’s a bold, masculine scent with an outdoorsy vibe-balanced, she jokes, by a touch of 'city bathwater.'

“This soap is weird in the best way,” she said. “It’s unforgettable, but it also genuinely smells incredible and works like all the other Dr. Squatch products I’ve loved for years.”

Bathwater as branding? A clever response to creepy comments

Sweeney has long been one of Hollywood’s most talked-about stars-not just for her acting, but also for the frequent and often unsolicited attention focused on her appearance. In recent interviews, including one with Variety earlier this year, she’s addressed the uncomfortable sexualisation of her body and how it's affected her career.

So when fans began joking (or not joking) about wanting to buy her bathwater, she saw an opportunity to turn the conversation around.

“When your fans start asking for your bathwater, you can either ignore it or turn it into a bar of soap,” she said in a press release. “At least now it’s something real, something useful-and something natural.”

The Bathwater Bliss soap is an ultra-limited release, with just 5,000 bars being produced. For fans hoping to score one for free, Dr. Squatch is running a giveaway from May 29 to June 5. To enter, you’ll need to follow their Instagram account, like the designated post, and leave a comment. Out of all entries, 100 winners will receive a free bar.

For everyone else, the soap will be available for purchase starting June 6-though don’t expect it to stay in stock for long.

Sweeney hopes it encourages more men to ditch chemical-heavy drugstore soaps in favor of clean, skin-friendly products.

“Weird can still mean wonderful,” she said. “If it gets people to think differently about what they’re putting on their skin, that’s a win.”
