Cancer Survivors Day 2025: Mumbai’s Wockhardt Hospitals To Host ‘Healing Meets Hope’ Event On June 1 To Celebrate Survivors’ Strength And Resilience
Mumbai: Cancer is the second leading cause of death globally, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), and doctors believe it is not only treated with medicines but also with courage and care.
Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai, is hosting an event on Cancer Survivors Day (June 1) aimed to acknowledge the strength of those patients who have succeeded in the battle against cancer. Themed ‘Healing meets hope’, the gathering highlights the undying spirit and courage of cancer warriors, their families, and oncologists.
The event’s focus lies in celebrating strength, stories, and the mantra for emerging victorious from the life-threatening disease. Dr. Virendra Chauhan, Centre Head at Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, calls the event a “tribute” to cancer survivors.
“It’s a moment for reflection, gratitude, and recommitment to walking alongside our patients—not just as caregivers, but as partners in their recovery and beyond”, he says.
On Sunday, survivors who received care at the hospital will be felicitated for their inspiring journeys—each one a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the importance of holistic, compassionate care.
Dr Chauhan believes the event also serves as a platform to reaffirm the hospital’s commitment to delivering integrated care that addresses not just the disease, but also the emotional and psychological well-being of patients.
