UP govt begins e-auction of industrial plots in Greater Noida; details here

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a scheme for large-scale allocation of 40 industrial plots in Greater Noida, measuring between 450 and 8,000 square metres, at a reserve price of Rs 28,600- Rs 33,950 per square metre.

 

The process has been put into motion by the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA).  

 

Plot allocation will be in sectors in Ecotech-XI, Ecotech-3, Udyog Kendra Extension-1, Ecotech-1 Extension, Ecotech-2, Udyog Vihar Extension, Ecotech-6 Block B and Ecotech-X, and possession will be given within 30 days. The auction will be online.

 

Under the scheme, applicants will be able to set up industrial units under 242 categories. There is also a category of 27 industries including distillery, petrochemicals, and fertilizers which are not eligible to apply. Five types of industries-  including dye and bleaching, can be given permission to set up units on a restrictive basis.

 

Manufacturing units ranging from incense sticks, and handicraft products to electric components are expected to be set up on these land parcels.

 

Brochures for the scheme can be downloaded from the GNIDA and the Nivesh Mitra website. The last date for filing the registration is June 16, while the last date for depositing registration, EMD and processing fees is June 18. The last date for final submission is June 20.

 

The bulk land allocation process also started for setting up a logistics park near Dadri. This will go for Rs 11,000 per square meter under a scheme for setting up a Multi-Model Logistics Park (MMLP). Eligible units will get benefits under the MMLP Policy-2024. The process, which has started will continue till June 23, 2025. Only developers who have invested Rs 1,200 crore and have 10 years of experience in the logistics sector will be eligible under the scheme.

 

Services like Inter-Model Container Terminal, Cargo Handling Yard, Mechanised Warehouse, Specialised Cold Storage, Logistics and Cargo Terminal Business, Custom Clearance, Freight Forwarding Service and Transportation can be set up in this park. It is noteworthy that the identified area is near Jewar Airport and is connected to the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, which ensures excellent road and air connectivity.
