Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appears to have admitted that the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile of India caused major damage in various locations in Pakistan, including an airport in Rawalpindi.
Jointly developed by India and Russia, through a partnership between Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyeniya, BrahMos has been hailed as one of the fastest and most precise cruise missiles in the world. India fires BrahMos missiles from land-based mobile launchers, naval warships, and Su-30MKI fighter aircraft.

In a video that is being widely circulated, the prime minister, while speaking at a summit in Lachin of Azerbaijan, said India hit multiple locations in Pakistan during the night of May 9-10 as part of Operation Sindoor with BrahMos and other missiles.
According to him, Pakistan had decided to respond "in a measured fashion to Indian aggression." “And we had decided that at 4:30 in the morning after Fajr prayers, Pakistan armed forces led very ably by our field marshal chief army staff sitting here, Syed Asim Munir to teach a lesson to our enemy (India).”
“But before that hour reached India again launched missile attacks, and BrahMos hit Pakistan's various provinces, including airport in Rawalpindi and other places,” the Pakistan PM was heard saying in the video.
