Housefull 5: ‘Sensual Visuals’ Reduced, Words 'Item' And 'Haram' Replaced; Here Are Changes Asked By CBFC In Akshay Kumar Starrer
Housefull 5 starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Sonam Bajwa is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year. A few days ago, the trailer of Housefull 5 was released and it received a fantastic response, and now, the audience is eagerly waiting to watch the movie. However, Tarun Manshukhani's directorial had to go under the scissors of CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification).
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Housefull 5 has been given U/A 16+ certificate, but CBFC asked for a few changes in the movie. There are a few audio cuts, like the dialogue 'nikal dungi' was altered. The words 'item' and 'haram' were replaced, and a specific dialogue at the 1 hour and 53 minute was instructed to be removed.
Not just the audio cuts, CBFC also asked the makers to do some visual changes as well. A scene of ‘champagne coming’ was reduced, hand gestures were modified, and a scene featuring 'sensual visuals' was reduced by 2 seconds.
Housefull 5 Runtime
Interestingly, Housefull 5 will be released in two versions, and there are two censor certificates. There will be two different climaxes and this is happening for the first time in Bollywood.
Talking about the runtime of the film, reportedly, both versions have the same runtime of 165 minutes and 48 seconds. It will be interesting to see whether this strategy of two different climaxes will help the film at the box office or not.
Housefull 5 Release Date
Housefull 5 is slated to release on June 6, 2025. It is a Holiday (Bakra Eid) weekend, and it is expected that the movie will take a bumper opening at the box office.
Apart from Akshay, Abhishek, Riteish, Jacqueline, Nargis, and Sonam, the movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Chitrangada Singh, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer and Johnny Lever.
