Football Transfer News: Real Madrid Rope In Mid-Fielder Trent Alexander-Arnold Ahead Of Club World Cup
Decorated Spanish club Real Madrid has announced the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool as it was unveiled on May 30 (Friday), with the contract from June 1, 2025 to June 30, 2031. Although the 26-year-old's international contract was coming to an end, Real Madrid paid extra fees to bring him in earlier, ensuring the youngster's availability for the Club World Cup.
Alexander-Arnold, who came through the Merseyside club’s academy, plied his trade on 259 occasions for Liverpool, netting 18 goals. Managers urgen Klopp and Arne Slot were attracted by his ability to play long passes accurately and ensured to make him an asset for Liverpool. He played an integral role in Liverpool's record 20th English Premier League title this year.
In a statement, Liverpool said:
"Liverpool will receive a fee for his services, with the deal to be concluded once the window opens on June 1."
