Preview:

Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans will face off in a high-stakes Eliminator clash in IPL 2025 on May 30 (Friday) in Mullanpur to stay alive in the competition. The two sides will go head to head in Mullanpur but only one of those sides will progress to Qualifier 2 to lock horns against the loser of Qualifier 1.

Both Mumbai and Gujarat have seen their fortunes fall apart at the fag end of the season, suffering losses to the Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings, respectively. Mumbai Indians opener Rohit Sharma will need a new opening partner, especially with Ryan Rickelton leaving for home. Nevertheless, Jonny Bairstow looks like an automatic swap. With their batting unit struggling against the Punjab Kings, they need it to come good collectively to have a chance of beating the Titans.

The Titans, meanwhile, have their issues in batting of their own, with Jos Buttler leaving for England to return to international duty. Although both Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan are in outstanding form, evidenced by mustering over 600 runs, the Titans' middle-order must come good, given Mumbai Indians' reputed bowling attack.
