Bypoll: Three file papers on Day 5

A total of three nomination papers were filed on the fifth day of nominations for the Ludhiana West assembly constituency byelection. Disclosing this, Chief Electoral Officer Punjab, Sibin C, said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Sanjeev Arora and his covering candidate Kavya Arora submitted their nomination papers on Friday. In addition, an Independent candidate, Chandan, also filed his nomination. With these, the total number of nomination papers filed so far has reached eight. Nomination papers can also be submitted on Saturday. The last date for filing nominations is June 2 while the scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on June 3.
