Wedding In UP's Hardoi Turns Grim After Car Crash Kills 5 Guests
As many as five people, including a child, died and six others sustained injuries in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Hardoi. The car was returning from a wedding when it lost control and fell into a ditch near Kusuma village under the Majhila police station area in the city.
Police reached the spot immediately and rushed the injured to the hospital. The injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital. The police are carrying out post-mortem and panchanama procedures.
"On the night of May 31, 2025, a wedding procession of Neeraj Son of Ram Sevak from Mahula Patiyan, Pali police station area, was returning from Kusuma village in Majhila police station area," Hardoi Circle Officer Anuj Mishra said.
An eyewitness said that there were around nine-ten people in the car, which lost control near Kusuma while returning from the wedding.
However, EMO CHC Dr Zeeshan Khan said that thirteen people were brought to the hospital by ambulance. Among them, 5 are deceased and 8 are seriously injured.
1 Killed, 5 Injured In Road Accident On Kedarnath National Highway
A 38-year-old man was killed and five others injured in a landslide on the Kedarnath National Highway in Rudraprayag district in Uttarakhand. The vehicle was carrying devotees from Chhattisgarh to Kedarnath when it was hit by a landslide near Guptkashi.
The deceased has been identified as driver Rajesh Singh Rawat, a resident of Lambgaon in Tehri Garhwal district, PTI reported.
The administration and Station Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams reached the spot in time and began the rescue and relief operations. The injured were rushed to nearby hospital for treatment.
