Three sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for attempted murder after throwing student into canal in Punjab

A Ludhiana court has sentenced Inderjit Singh Billa, Akashdeep Singh Ricky, and Mandeep Singh to ten years of rigorous imprisonment for attempting to murder Tejinder Singh. The trio forcibly intoxicated Tejinder before pushing him into a canal and further trying to drown him. The court dismissed the defense's claim of false implication, finding the prosecution's evidence and Tejinder's testimony credible.
