Anganwadi Holiday: 15 days summer vacation in Anganwadi centers from 1st to 15th June, Order issued
This holiday will be for children in the age group of 3 to 6 years and other beneficiaries who regularly visit the centres. The presence of Anganwadi worker and assistant will be mandatory during this period.
Anganwadi Holiday: There is important news for Anganwadi workers of Madhya Pradesh. A 15-day summer vacation has been declared in Anganwadi centers from 1 to 15 June. This vacation will be for children of 3 to 6 age group and other beneficiaries who regularly visit the centers.
The presence of Anganwadi workers and assistants will be mandatory during this period. According to the instructions issued by the Women and Child Development Department, this period has been set for the maintenance of Anganwadi centers, document maintenance, annual survey and nutrition related activities. During this time, Ready to Eat (RTE) food items will be distributed by women self-help groups in place of breakfast and hot cooked food for children in the centers.
Anganwadi will be organised during the holiday period
Review will be done between 10th and 15th June
Cleaning of the building, arrangement of sports equipment, repair of kitchen and toilets and better arrangement of drinking water will be ensured. Apart from this, record maintenance work will be done. Stock registration of all equipment and furniture, details of take home ration distribution, data uploading will be done in Sampark application. Annual survey (AASR) will also be done during this period. Family survey and beneficiary identification will be done from 1st to 10th June, while review will be done by the officials between 10th and 15th June.
Preparation of Nutrition Garden
Beds will be prepared for nutrition garden in centers with boundary walls and in the homes of malnourished children. Coordination will be done with the Panchayat for the arrangement of seeds and plants. Health and Nutrition Counseling: Services will be provided to malnourished children and women through vaccination, monitoring of C-MAM program, nutrition counseling and home visits. Child Development Project Officers and supervisors will continuously monitor during this period, paying special attention to the remote and support-requiring centers. Regular activities will start again on 16 June 2025 with the welcome of children and women in the centers.
