Bank Holidays in June 2025: During the month of June, banks are scheduled to remain closed for a total of 12 days due to both national and regional holidays.
As the first quarter of the new fiscal year nears its end, customers are busy in scheduling their tax investments, banking errands and seeking new opportunities for the year. However, to avoid inconvenience, it is crucial to keep a check of the official bank holiday calendar so that individuals can plan their appointments without any hassle.
The holiday calendar for banks is published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) every year. This calendar covers weekends, national holidays, regional celebrations, and special occassions. Weekend holidays for banks include second, fourth Saturdays and all Sundays.
In June, banks are scheduled to remain closed on the first day across the country due to the weekend holiday. Additionally, towards the end of the month, a long weekend is lined up for Mizoram, Manipur, and Odisha as the states celebrate their regional festivals which are lined up with the typical bank holiday of fourth Saturday. Therefore, banks will remain closed in these states for atleast 3 days straight.
While the RBI makes the holiday calendar, sometimes there are last minute changes in the bank schedule. Therefore, customers are advised to keep in touch with their local bank branches.
