The Tribune Edu Expo 2025: Himachal minister asks students to focus on career to become responsible citizens

Hundreds of students from several nearby schools attended the first day of The Tribune Education Expo at Matour in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. The event, organised by The Tribune Trust and powered by Arni University, is focussed on guiding the students to choose their career through academic counselling so as to become good and responsible citizens. Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani inaugurated the education expo in the presence of NN Vohra, The Tribune Trust president; Jyoti Malhotra, Editor-in-Chief of The Tribune Group of Newspapers, and Amit Sharma, General Manager of The Tribune Trust. Addressing a gathering, Dharmani asked the students to focus on their career and carefully choose the best academic line for their future. The minister lauded the efforts of The Tribune Trust in organising the education expo, which, according to him, would empower the participating students in transforming their minds for becoming responsible citizens. Advising students to make life-long learning as their motto, he said, “After achieving excellence in academics, you must serve the humanity by building the trust and confidence of the people." The minister also felicitated with certificates and gifts the brilliant students who had scored more than 90 per cent marks in their board examination. Earlier, while welcoming the minister, General Manager Amit Sharma said, “Education is the most powerful tool to transform societies and school education plays a vital role in building a good career." Meanwhile, the students of Class XI and XII explored diverse courses, placement opportunities and career paths offered by leading colleges and institutions of the region. The expo offered valuable exposure and insight into the world of higher education. The Amity University; Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri (Mohali); Graphic Era University, ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Aryans Group of Colleges, Lamrin Tech Skills University, Chandigarh University, DAV University, Arni University, Sri Sai University, Shoolini University, Abhilashi University, NIET Group of Institutes, Minerva Group of Colleges, Aryans Overseas, Indus International University, GNA University and NMIMS-Chandigarh and other regional institutes participated in the expo.
