NCC recruitment process reviewed in Tanda

In a significant development Col Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer of the 2 Punjab NCC Battalion, Jalandhar, conducted a surprise inspection of the ongoing NCC cadet recruitment process at the School of Eminence, Tanda. The inspection, held as part of the 2025 NCC cadet enrollment drive, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. During his visit, Col Joshi addressed the gathering and highlighted the multifaceted benefits of joining the National Cadet Corps, including grace marks in higher education, personality development, leadership training and preferential opportunities in the Armed Forces. Motivating students with a spirit of patriotism, Col Joshi urged them to consider a future in the defence services, emphasising the honour and responsibility of serving the nation. He also shed light on the significant role played by the defence forces and the NCC in the recent ‘Operation Sindoor’. In a gesture of mutual respect, Principal Rajesh Kumar honoured Col Vinod Joshi with a memento, acknowledging his leadership and commitment. In return, Col Joshi presented a memento to Principal Rajesh Kumar on behalf of the battalion, appreciating the school’s active role in fostering the spirit of NCC among students.
