Earthquake of 2.7 magnitude strikes UP's Meerut

A minor earthquake, measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale, shook Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday morning, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The tremors were felt at 8:44 AM IST, originating from a depth of five kilometres. Prior to this, on May 28, a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck Churachandpur, Manipur, at a depth of 36 km.
