Meteorologists say that currently, trough activity and cyclonic circulation systems are active. Because of this, a thunderstorm and rain alert remains in place until June 4. Day and night temperatures may see a slight increase in several cities, and humidity levels are also expected to rise.
The monsoon is likely to enter Madhya Pradesh between June 7 and 10. Looking at data from the past 10 years, intense heat typically affects the state just before the monsoon arrives. The Gwalior-Chambal region tends to be the hottest, though Bhopal, Indore, and Ujjain divisions also experience severe heat during this period.
Some relief from the high temperatures usually begins in the final days of June. However, nighttime temperatures during June can drop by 8 to 10°C, and similar weather conditions are expected this year as well.
