Parul University hosts Dr Jaishankar as Chief Guest for int’l convocation ceremony

Vadodara, June 1: Parul University hosted a special convocation ceremony for its international students, with External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar as the Chief Guest.
The event marked the graduation of 720 foreign students, with over 600 attending the ceremony in person.
A statement said that the grand event witnessed the presence of over 2,700 international students, 100 parents, 20 foreign officials and dignitaries, and a total audience of more than 6,000.
Students from more than 20 countries, including Nepal, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Myanmar, Uganda, and Mauritius, were part of the celebrations. The university currently hosts over 4,500 international students.
Dr Jaishankar addressed the graduates with an inspiring message, urging them to build strong values and be responsible global citizens.
“Take on more responsibility, be kind, and avoid becoming shallow in a competitive world,” he advised.
He praised the University for its contribution to global education and highlighted India’s growing role as an education hub.
“Education, friendships, and collaboration are bridges between nations,” he said.
Parul University President Dr Devanshu Patel congratulated the graduating class and described the convocation as the start of a new journey.
“These students are the future diplomats of knowledge and unity,” he said, encouraging them to measure success by the lives they impact.
The convocation included colourful cultural performances by international students, showcasing the university’s diverse and inclusive environment.
The event ended with the formal conferral of degrees, marking a significant step in the graduates’ global journey.
