UP Man Kills Girlfriend For Refusing To Talk On Phone, Arrested
Girlfriend Murder: Lover Arrested Police in Moradabad's Mainather area have arrested a young man for the murder of a girl whose blood-soaked body was found in a field on Sunday. The incident is believed to have stemmed from a relationship gone sour.
Police said the accused, the girl's boyfriend, confessed to stabbing her to death with a sharp weapon. They had been in a relationship for about two years, but the girl had recently stopped taking his calls. Their friendship had turned into an argument. When she refused to talk to him, he lured her to a secluded spot. A minor argument escalated when she slapped him. Enraged, he repeatedly stabbed her with a screwdriver and strangled her. Police say her body bore 35 wounds. The accused is now in custody.
Body Found in Field
The incident occurred in Moradabad's Mainather police station area, where the body of a minor girl was found in a field on Sunday. Police have arrested the accused boyfriend, Rafi alias Arif, who confessed to the crime during interrogation. According to police, the accused and the deceased girl belonged to the same community and had been in a relationship for the past two years. While they initially communicated over the phone, the girl had distanced herself recently. Angered by this, Rafi called her to meet in a secluded area. During their meeting, a heated argument ensued, culminating in the girl slapping him. Losing his temper, he brutally attacked her with a screwdriver and strangled her to death.
35 Wounds on Body
The post-mortem report revealed around 35 deep wounds on the girl's body. After the murder, the accused fled the scene, but police apprehended him after a thorough search. He is currently in police custody, undergoing further interrogation.
