Claiming that Pakistan has concrete proof of India's involvement behind militant networks in Balochistan, Pakistan Army chief Field Marshal Asim Munir said the Pakistan army would "crush every enemy, foreign or domestic" that challenges the sovereignty of the country.

During an interaction with Balochistan tribal leaders, on the security situation in the region, Gen Munir, who was recently promoted to the rank of Field Marshal in the wake of the military conflict with India, claimed that these alleged attempts by “the enemy” would fail.

“It is an open malicious act of terrorism waged on out people, or progress, our peace,” he was quoted as saying, as per a Radio Pakistan report.

Gen Munir further said the Pakistan Army is fully prepared to decisively respond to any possible threat.

Echoing similar sentiments, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif too claimed that India-backed proxies are operating in Balochistan to cause destabilise the province and cause disruption to development activities and added that the country will put an end to terrorism in the region.

Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which had claimed 26 lives. Following this, India carried out precision strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as part of Operation Sindoor. Pakistan reacted by attempting to attack Indian military bases, but India managed to thwart these attempts.
