Netflix’s ‘Nobody Wants This’ returns with Season 2 in October

Netflix series Nobody Wants This will return with its much anticipated Season 2 on October 23, 2025. The announcement was made on Sunday by the executive producers and cast at Netflix’s FYSEE L.A. Emmy Event to celebrate Season 1. Held at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, series creator Erin Foster, executive producer Sara Foster, executive producer/star Kristen Bell and co-stars Adam Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons and Jackie Tohn were present for the event.

Season 1 chronicled an agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi, played by Kristen Bell and Adam Brody respectively, who fall in love and attempt to sustain a relationship. Their complicated yet quirky alliance leads them to face modern obstacles, including interference from their family and friends. Along with the aforementioned cast, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Sherry Cola and Shiloh Berman will also appear in Season 2
Guest stars for the upcoming season include Leighton Meester, Miles Fowler, Alex Karpovsky and Arian Moayed. Producers of HBO series Girls, Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, have also joined as executive producers and showrunners for Season 2, along with Nora Sliver.

The debut season of Nobody Wants This was a regular sight in Netflix’s Global Top 10 list of English language shows for six weeks across 89 countries. Additionally, since its September 2024 release, the rom-com series has been viewed 57 million times.
In an interview with Variety, Erin Foster expressed gratitude for the response, noting how the support has shaped the show. “The incredible cast, crew, producers and executives all made this into the show it is today, and to experience viewers’ reactions to this series now that it’s out in the world has been more than anything I could have dreamed,” Foster said.
