Homebound Director Neeraj Ghaywan Thanks The Film's Team, Doesn't Mention Cinematographer Pratik Shah's Name

A few days ago, Homebound cinematographer Pratik Shah made it to the headlines as filmmaker Abhinav Singh called him 'highly manipulative' and 'emotionally abusive'. Singh also revealed that after he called out Pratik on social media, around 20 women reached out to him, recounting their bad experiences with the cinematographer and calling him a 'predator'. Now, on Monday, Homebound director Neeraj Ghaywan took to social media to share a post in which he thanked the team of the film.

While he has mentioned names of dialogue writer Varun Grover, producer Somen Mishra, editor Nitin Baid, and others, he has not mentioned anything about Pratik. He captioned the post as, "Now that the whirlwind that was Cannes is over, I’d like to acknowledge the contributions of people associated with our film #Homebound. Starting off with the writing process."

"[Sorry I forgot to write in the post that I wrote the screenplay as well. That was by myself] Thank you @bashpeer @somenmishra @gogoroy @vidushak @baidnitin @melitatoscan @ibadshaikh @shriidhardubey @shoaibzulfinazeer @svetlana.naudiyal and others!," he further wrote.

Dharma Productions' Statement About Pratik Shah

On Saturday, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions shared a statement about Pratik, which read, "At Dharma Productions, we have a zero tolerance policy against inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment towards any individual working with us in any capacity, and we treat sexual harassment cases very seriously."

"Mr. Pratik Shah was a freelancer on the project Homebound and was working on it for a limited period. His engagement with us has been completed. During this limited period, our internal committee for POSH didn’t receive any complaints against him from any cast or crew on our film ‘Homebound’," the statement further read.

While Pratik has deleted his Instagram account, the cinematographer has not given any statement about the allegations against him.
