AAP losing ground in state, claims Ashu
Punjab Congress working president and party candidate from Ludhiana (West) Bharat Bhushan Ashu said today that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party had already started feeling desperate and frustrated after realising that the ground beneath its feet was slipping.
Interacting with the media at his public outreach programmes at different places today, Ashu said that people were deserting the AAP and winds of change had already started blowing. “The winds of change will start blowing from Ludhiana (West) and sweep away the entire AAP from the whole of Punjab,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, several AAP and BJP workers and leaders today joined the Congress in the presence of senior party leader and election in charge Rana Gurjeet. Those who joined the Congress today included Khadim Ali and Sher Singh Grewal, both state secretaries of the AAP and prominent BJP workers Gur Iqbal Singh Dhandari and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Rana said that the caravan of people joining the Congress from other parties, particularly the ruling AAP, was getting longer with each passing day. “This is just the beginning and it will reach the logical conclusion by the time the campaign ends,” he said this while replying to a question.
