D Gukesh prevailed over Arjun Erigaisi at Norway Chess, his first classical win against him, propelling him to second place. Fabiano Caruana leads the tournament after defeating Wei Yi. Magnus Carlsen secured third place with an Armageddon win over Hikaru Nakamura. Gukesh's win over Erigaisi comes on the back of a win over Magnus Carlsen, where the World No 1 lost his afterwards.
