Misa Bharti’s luxurious house? Alt News traces viral video to Turkmenistan-based realtor’s TikTok account
In the run-up to the Bihar assembly elections scheduled later this year, a video of a hijab-clad woman showcasing a luxury house has gone viral on social media with claims that the house belongs to Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Misa Bharti, daughter of former Bihar chief minister and veteran RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav.
X user @abhi_tripati tweeted the viral video, sarcastically remarking that the viral video was of Yadav’s “exploited, backward, utterly poor daughter showing her broken, dilapidated hut”. The tweet garnered over 6.5 Lakh views at the time of this report being written. (Archive)
Another X user, @rose_k01, tweeted the viral video with the same claim. The tweet, which was later deleted, garnered over 6 Lakh views. Here is an archive.

Fact Check
We ran the viral video through Google reverse image search and found the same video uploaded by a Nigerian Facebook user. We also reviewed other videos on his profile and found two more clips featuring the same woman taking viewers around two different houses in a similar fashion. Here and here are the links to those videos.
We performed a reverse image search using keyframes from one of the other videos. We were subsequently led to a TikTok account with the username @musa_realtor. One of the pinned videos of the TikTok profile was the viral video with 11 million views. The video had been posted on June 1, the earliest instance of this particular video.
We noticed that several videos on this particular TikTok account featured the woman seen in the viral video. The profile was also filled with house-tour videos, indicating that it belonged to a real estate-focused social media account. We ran the phone number listed on the account through Truecaller and found that it was based in Turkmenistan. The Truecaller ID also included the word ‘realtor’.
In one of the videos, the woman seen in the viral clip is shown celebrating with a cake. This video offers a closer look at her, allowing us to confidently ascertain that she is not Misa Bharti.
Moreover, Bharti took to Twitter to deny the claims made about her. In a sarcastic response to X user @rose_k01, she asked them to share the address of the house so that she could visit it herself.
As it stands, several X users shared a video of a woman showing a luxurious house claiming that the house belonged to RJD MP Misa Bharti. In reality, we were able to trace the video to a Turkemnitsan-based real estate TikTok account.
