Air India has confirmed the death toll from flight AI171, which was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members, and crashed shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad airport, killing 241 people. The sole survivor, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, is currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
