Israel-Iran Conflict Escalates: Airstrikes, Missile Barrages Spark Fears of Global War | ABP NEWS

Tensions in the Middle East have reached a boiling point, fueling fears of a potential global conflict. In the last 24 hours, Israel has launched multiple airstrikes on Iran, targeting nuclear and military facilities in Tehran, Isfahan, and Fordow. This marks the second major strike by Israel in just one day. The operation, codenamed Rising Lion, resulted in over 100 reported deaths and more than 270 injuries. Among those killed were top Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists. Iran retaliated forcefully by launching ballistic missiles and drones toward Israel, claiming to have hit Tel Aviv and destroyed a nuclear research center. Though Israel’s IDF intercepted most drones, reports indicate damage and injuries on both sides. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei warned of severe consequences before these strikes, and his forces have since unleashed over 100 ballistic missiles in response. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that Israel will continue military operations until Iran's nuclear threat is completely neutralized. In an exclusive interview with ABP News, Israel's Ambassador to India, Ruvin Azar, confirmed the strikes were based on classified intelligence that Iran had been stockpiling fissile material to weaponize.
