World War 3 imminent as Iran-Israel war escalates? US official issues CHILLING warning, says current threat is…

Iran-Israel war: The threat of a third World War has become more real than ever before as the Iran-Israel war escalated after Tehran launched retaliatory strikes on the Jewish state on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, causing widespread destruction in several Israeli cities and population centers, including Tel Aviv.

World War 3 threat greater than ever before

According to media reports, hours before Israel launched airstrikes on Iran earlier this week, a top US official had warned about the rising threat of World War 3 erupting across the globe. The US had prior knowledge of Israel’s plans to launch attacks on Iran, and the official, who was likely privy to that information, had warned that the world was closer to a global war than ever before, describing the current threat of a world war as more dangerous and imminent than even the Cold War era, the Washington Post report.

As per the Washington Post report, a senior US diplomat warned that a World War 3 threat is more pronounced and greater this time than in the past, stating that Israel’s aggressive attack on Iran could push the Middle East into chaos. “We are watching this and we are concerned. We think it is more serious than ever before,” the official was quoted as saying.

He had also predicted that Iran would retaliate swiftly and warned that other countries could also get involved, turning the Iran-Israel war into a global military conflict, which could soon become out of control.

Iran-Israel war

Earlier this week, Israel launched its fiercest attack on Iran, unleashing a wave of air strikes on Iranian cities, including capital Tehran, under Operation Rising Lion, in which several top Iranian nuclear scientists and military commanders, including IRGC chief Hossein Salami, commander Ghulam-Ali Rashid, nuclear scientist Dr. Mohammad Tehranchi, nuclear scientist Dr. Fereydoon Abbasi and Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Mohammad Bagheri.

Tehran vowed to avenge the Israeli attack, stating that its response will be anything beyond what Israel and ally, the United States, could ever imagine, triggering the fears of a full-scale Iran-Israel war.
